Evan Rachel Wood: Beatles ankle Tattoo
We love Evan Rachel Wood's tattoo around her ankle.

Wood was so moved by her role in 'Across The Universe', that she marked the end of the film by getting her first tattoo.

She had a 'Beatles' tattoo of diamonds, a blackbird and strawberries etched on her ankle.

She was quoted as saying, "That movie changed my life. I got a freakin' tattoo on my ankle for the movie. It's strawberries, where the leaves are in the shape of a blackbird and diamonds for (Beatles song) 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.' I got to sing 'Blackbird' (in the film) and my (character) name is Lucy in the film, so I got the diamonds."

"I kind of always thought I would get a tattoo but I was waiting for something really special. This was a moment in my life I wanted to mark. I turned 18 and I was living on my own for the first time and I was in New York filming a Beatles musical. I thought it was a good time."

Evan Rachel Wood vs. Dita Von Teese
Thursday, May 24, 2007
In a recent Life & Style Weekly poll, readers were asked who had the best "soft curls". Talking about hair, of course.

Well, seems readers prefer Dita Von Teese's hair over Evan's. 76% to be exact.

Quote from the magazine:
"Evan Rachel is'nt just dating Dita's ex, Marilyn Manson, she's copying her hairstyle - yikes! But while Evan's curls are sweet, Dita's frame her beautiful face".

Damn Evan haters!!! We love you Evan Rachel Wood!!

Evan Rachel Wood to star in 'Bronte'
Tuesday, May 22, 2007
Michelle Williams, Bryce Dallas Howard and Evan Rachel Wood are lining up to star in "Bronte," a biopic written and to be directed by Charles Sturridge, which is set to shoot in September.

Icon Entertainment Intl. has picked up foreign sales for "Bronte," with ICM representing the project in North America. Alastair Maclean-Clark and Basil Stephens of AMC Pictures are producing. Sturridge's screenplay is based on an original script by Angela Workman.

The Bronte sisters and their brother, Branwell, grew up in isolation on the Yorkshire moors, and went on to write some of the most enduring novels in the canon of English literature -- Charlotte's "Jane Eyre," Emily's "Wuthering Heights" and Anne's "The Tenant of Wildfell Hall."

As children, they created epic fantasy worlds to entertain themselves, led by the charismatic Branwell, but when he descended into alcohol and opium abuse, the sisters had to find their own way in a world dominated by strict patriarchal conventions. This initially forced them to disguise their identities by publishing under male pseudonyms.

Sturridge said, "My family come from Yorkshire and I grew up with five sisters, so this is a story I have always wanted to tell. We all remember the lost worlds of our childhoods, but these amazing girls never abandoned them and applied the same unique and uncompromising daring to their work as adults."

Marilyn Manson praises Evan Rachel Wood
Monday, May 21, 2007
Marilyn Manson, aka Brian Warner, claims his marriage to Dita von Teese left him soulless.

The 38-year-old goth rocker says his relationship with the burlesque dancer - who he tied the knot with in 2005 - ended because she tried to change him and left him "destroyed."

"I was completely destroyed. I had no soul left," the 38-year-old glitzy goth rocker says in Spin magazine's June issue. "I define myself as a person, a human, an artist, as someone who makes things -- writing, painting, music -- and I couldn't do anything."

His outlook changed when his friendship with 19-year-old actress Evan Rachel Wood turned romantic. He tells the magazine he was impressed when she said she would die for him.

"It might sound strange, but this made me want to live," he says.

Evan Rachel Wood Bio
Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh, North Carolina to Ira David Wood III, an award-winning actor, singer, theatre director and playwright, and Sara Lynn Moore, an actress. Her brother, Ira David Wood IV, is also an actor. She also has a half brother, Dana, from her mother's first marriage. Evan Rachel Wood is Jewish.

Evan's first career disappointment came at the age of five when she lost the role of Claudia in "Interview With The Vampire" (1994) to Kirsten Dunst. She got back on track, however, appearing in several television roles, including American Gothic and Once and Again. Wood made her debut as a lead film actress in 2002's Little Secrets, and became well known after her Golden Globe-nominated role in Thirteen, which gained her critical praise.

Wood has been described by The Guardian newspaper as being "wise beyond her years" and as "one of the best actresses of her generation".

Evan was homeschooled due to bullying, and received her high school diploma at age fifteen. She has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoys singing, having recorded the songs "Christmas Isn't Christmas Without You" and "Silver and Gold" for the School's Out Christmas Album.
